Personal Coaching
You don’t need to be in a position of authority to be a leader. And a leadership position doesn’t magically turn you into an effective leader.
Leaders are grown, not born or made.
Whether you want to improve your effectiveness as a sole contributor, in a leadership role, or aspire to a leadership role, coaching will accelerate your growth in the foundational areas of positive leadership:
- Self-awareness
- Emotional intelligence
- Energy management
- Transparent communication
- Authentic relationships
Polishing these skills from a collection of daily tasks into unconscious habits increases your personal capacity for productivity, fulfillment, and authentic relationships. This enables you to foster the same skills in others while fulfilling expectations for your position.
If that sounds impossible, coaching might be what you need to find your way to possible.
Each individual comes to life coaching for their own reason.
Some people seek coaching for specific goals: to write a book, to start a new career, or to have a healthier body. Some come to be more effective or more satisfied at work or to develop new skills. Sometimes people want more from life–more peace of mind, more security, more fun, more impact in their work. Others are looking for less–less confusion, less stress, less financial pressure. In general, they come to coaching because they want a better quality of life.
And yet, the most powerful benefit of coaching is self-discovery, awareness, and choice. A desire to do something more meaningful, to find your passion & life’s purpose, or to discover and take your next step, are powerful reasons to seek coaching.
Life coaching can transform you in a way you never thought possible.
People come to ADHD coaching for the same reasons they come to life coaching. They desire growth and want a better quality of life.
Life coaching for ADHD differs in the depth of understanding of ADHD that a well-trained coach brings. We have tools and models specifically designed to help you understand your brain. People with ADHD face the same challenges as everybody else. But they also face the frustration of inconsistent performance. Sometimes they can pull a rabbit out of a hat at work and other times they can’t find the motivation to buy groceries, possibly both on the same day. ADHD comes with the agony of knowing what you need or want to do but not being able to do it even when you want to. We like to describe living with ADHD as being born with a Mac but only having been given instructions for how to use a PC—sometimes things work, but when they don’t, you have no way of finding out why.
Whether you have a specific goal in mind or are looking to transform your life, we’ll work toward your desired outcomes. Along the way, we’ll also build an “operating manual” for your unique brain, so that when something isn’t working for you in the future, you’re equipped to troubleshoot your way.
Our Clients
We work with adults with or without an ADHD diagnosis who are motivated and ready for change.
At this time, we do not work directly with children with ADHD. If you are a parent of a child with ADHD who is interested in ADHD coaching or working with me in particular, we’d be happy to talk to you. We can find an arrangement that works for both of us, or we can make a referral to a colleague who does work with children.
